Hecka fun stuff. I still have a buncha acrylics and matte wood varnish left, so anyone else who'd like shoes just holla. 'Course, you *could* just spring for the real thing at bobsmade... but that's like 95 euro ($142).
these were just regular old acrylics (Liquitex I think) sprayed over with matte finish (to waterproof them)
As long you paint on canvas/fabric shoes (that don't have some sort of of finish or paint on them) you should be fine. You can always wipe down the surface with nail polish remover to prep it to help the acrylics stick better and remove any coating that might have been put on the shoe fabric.
whats the matte finish? is it like an oil or something? i did do a few that are on etsy but was so worried bout ppl damaging the by walkin in rain and stuff [link]
